OUTCOME MEASURES
A major outcome for many of our patients is successful liberation or weaning from mechanical ventilation. Greater than one out of five patients in our specialty hospitals are on mechanical ventilation. South Georgia Specialty Hospital has had a high success rate for weaning these patients off ventilators. We wean approximately 69 percent of patients who failed to wean during their stay in a short term acute care hospital.

The overall average raw score percentage consistently remains near go percent with an impressively high return rate of over 50 percent.

COMPLEX WOUND CARE
Our Complex Wound Care team provides individual treatment of a variety of wounds including:
- Complications from diabetes
- Vascular diseases or infections
- Post-surgical wound management
- Post-operative flap and skin graft care
- Stage III or IV wounds
- Stoma care
RESPIRATORY THERAPY CARE
Our team of medical experts will help each patient reach his or her optimal level of health and independence by the most efficient means possible. The Respiratory Therapy program includes the latest care in tracheostomy, decannulation, ventilator weaning and management as well as general respiratory care.
